Bordeaux : Andy Carroll en approche

Bien décidé à ne pas s'éterniser en National 2, Bordeaux cherche encore à se renforcer. Après avoir fait revenir Rio Mavuba, Paul Baysse et Cédric Yambéré, les Girondins vont recruter l'attaquant Andy Carroll (35 ans). L'Anglais, qui évolue à Amiens depuis l'été 2023, est proche de s'engager avec le club aquitain, selon L'Equipe. Chargé du recrutement, John Williams, qui l'avait fait signer en Picardie, l'a convaincu de tenter l'expérience en N2.

Au cours de sa carrière, Carroll a évolué sous les couleurs de Liverpool, Newcastle ou encore West Ham. Il a disputé 35 matchs avec Amiens, pour un bilan de 4 buts et une passe décisive.
